18 <br /> <br />ARTICLE 11 - LONGEVITY <br />The City approves the longevity principle as part of its salary schedule and such principle shall be applied in the <br />adoption of the budget. Longevity shall be paid as follows: <br /> <br />Longevity shall be based by percentage on the first-class firefighter monthly base salary. <br />Longevity shall be paid as follows: <br />After 4 years service, base pay plus 2.0% per month. After 8 <br />years service, base pay plus 4.0% per month. After 12 years <br />service, base pay plus 6.0% per month. After 16 years service, <br />base pay plus 8.0% per month. After 20 years service, base pay <br />plus 10.0% per month. After 24 years service, base pay plus <br />12.0 % per month. After 28 years service, base pay plus 14.0% <br />per month. <br /> <br />Longevity shall be added to base pay regardless of rank or position on the Fire Department or any subdivision <br />thereof but shall only apply to members of this bargaining unit.
