<br />year plant establishment period shall be included under a separate bid item and is not
<br />included in the lump sum price. The lump sum price shall include all bedding, gravel borrow,
<br />or other soil material associated with the water quality structure, including haul.
<br />The lump sum price includes, but is not limited to, providing and installing filtration media,
<br />initial cleaning, commissioning, any documentation and all required maintenance and
<br />guarantees described herein.
<br />Bid Item 22 - Bypass Structure
<br />Measurement and Payment: Lump Sum (LS)
<br />The lump sum price for Bypass Structure of the size and type shown in the Drawings shall
<br />be full compensation for all labor, materials, incidentals, tools and equipment necessary to
<br />satisfactorily complete the work as defined in these Contract Documents, including
<br />fabrication and installation.
<br />Bid Item 23 - Planing Bituminous Pavement (3-inch Depth)
<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Square Yard (SY)
<br />Measurement for Planing Bituminous Pavement (3-inch Depth) shall be per square yard as
<br />delineated by the Contractor and approved by the Inspector. The unit price for this bid item
<br />shall be full payment for all costs incurred to perform the Work described in Section 5-
<br />04.3(14) and to complete the work in accordance with the Plans, COE Standard Drawings,
<br />Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions.
<br />Bid Item 24 - HMA, CL 1/2” PG 64-22
<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Ton (TON)
<br />Measurement for HMA, CL 1/2” PG 64-22 shall be by the ton, recorded on certified weight
<br />tickets in accordance with 1-09.2 WEIGHING EQUIPMENT for HMA placed within the limits
<br />of dimensions defined in the Work or shown on the Plans, Standard Specifications, Section
<br />5-06 of these Special Provisions, or as otherwise approved by the Engineer. The
<br />measurement and payment limits for measuring the width of this bid item shall not exceed
<br />the saw-cut limits shown on the Drawings. No deduction will be made for the weight of
<br />asphalt binder, blending sand, mineral filler, or other component of the mixture.
<br />The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work
<br />necessary to furnish, machine-place, compact, roll and perform density tests on multiple lifts
<br />of HMA – CL 1/2” PG 64-22 pavement including streets, alleys, street crossings, and driveway
<br />aprons as shown on the Plans.
<br />Miscellaneous HMA used for pavement repair, thickened edges, extruded and wedge
<br />curbing, placing and compacting pre-leveling, leveling and wearing courses, feathering
<br />pavement is included in this bid item with no direct compensation made.
<br />Furnishing and applying tack coat, prime coat, joint seal and crack sealing asphalt is to be
<br />included in this bid item with no direct compensation made. All costs for “Anti Stripping
<br />Additive” and “Compaction Adjustment” shall be included in the unit contract price per ton of
<br />the HMA with no direct compensation made.
<br />The unit price for this bid item shall include all labor, materials, equipment and related work
<br />necessary to furnish, place, compact, roll and perform density tests on HMA placed in
<br />accordance with the Plans, Standard Specifications, and these Special Provisions.
<br />Bid Item 25 - Landscape Restoration
<br />Measurement and Payment: Unit Price per Lump Sum (LS)
<br />Measurement for providing Landscape Restoration will be lump sum.
