ROLL CALI <br /> • <br /> , L . <br /> ORDINANCE %a O. \'y <br /> An ordinance amending Section, 17 of Ordinance No. 1442 <br /> of the city of Everett, entitled "An ordinance fixing and determining <br /> the number and designation of the various officers, assistants, <br /> deputies and employees of the city of Everett, prescribing the duties <br /> of such officers , assistants, deputies and employees , except where <br /> the same has been fixed by the City Charter or ordinances of the <br /> city of Everett, and declaring an emergency" , as amended by Ordinance <br /> No. 1483 of the city of Everett, and declaring an emergency. <br /> TILE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 17 of Ordinance No. 1442 of the <br /> city of Everett, entitled as above set forth, be and the same is <br /> hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 17: There shall be the following named officers <br /> and assistants in the Police Department, to-wit: Chief of Police, <br /> two (2) sergeants, one (1) jailer, fifteen (10) patrolmen, two (2) <br /> desk clerks. It shall be the duty of t-ic assistants in said <br /> department to perform the duties indicated by the name of their <br /> employment, and such other duties as the Chief of Police or the <br /> commissioner of Public Safety may authorize and direct. <br /> Section 2: An emergency is declared to exist, and this <br /> ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and publication. <br /> Mayor. <br /> Passed AUG 1 9 1913 <br /> 01, <br /> 4tteat <br /> lerk. <br /> Published AUG 1 1913 <br />
