<br />PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Injection Grouting <br />Project No. 180162 03 64 00 - 1 <br /> <br />SECTION 03 64 00 <br />INJECTION GROUTING <br />PART 1 GENERAL <br />1.01 SUMMARY <br />A. This Section specifies the requirements for injection grouting to seal pipe or structures <br />including but not limited to pipe walls and joints, manhole or structures, and annular <br />spaces. <br />B. For infiltration, grout may be injected into the soil surrounding the pipe or structure or <br />from within the pipe or structure to stabilize the soil and form an impermeable seal, or <br />soil ring, which prevents infiltration and migration of material into the host pipe. <br />Adequate volumes of grout must be injected to form an effective seal. <br />1. If infiltration is observed in the pipe to be rehabilitated, the Contractor shall inject <br />grout to stop the infiltration prior to installation of the CIPP. Grouting shall be <br />incidental to the CIPP work. <br />C. Provide pre-grouting inspections to identify all I/I locations and post inspection to <br />document I/I has been mitigated/stopped. <br />1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br />A. References: <br />1. Where a referenced document contains <br />references to other standards, those documents are included as references under <br />this section as if referenced directly. QUALIFICATIONS <br />1. The Chemical Grout Installer shall have a history of at least three years of pressure <br />testing and grouting sewers.
