PGSF WMVD Storm and Combined Sewer - Construction Package 2 Injection Grouting
Project No. 180162 03 64 00 - 1

SECTION 03 64 00
INJECTION GROUTING
PART 1 GENERAL
1.01 SUMMARY
A. This Section specifies the requirements for injection grouting to seal pipe or structures
including but not limited to pipe walls and joints, manhole or structures, and annular
spaces.
B. For infiltration, grout may be injected into the soil surrounding the pipe or structure or
from within the pipe or structure to stabilize the soil and form an impermeable seal, or
soil ring, which prevents infiltration and migration of material into the host pipe.
Adequate volumes of grout must be injected to form an effective seal.
1. If infiltration is observed in the pipe to be rehabilitated, the Contractor shall inject
grout to stop the infiltration prior to installation of the CIPP. Grouting shall be
incidental to the CIPP work.
C. Provide pre-grouting inspections to identify all I/I locations and post inspection to
document I/I has been mitigated/stopped.
1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. References:
1.
