WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered all of the proposed Comprehensive Plan <br /> Land Use Map and Policy amendments as well as implementing rezones, so that the cumulative <br /> effects of all amendments have been fully ascertained, as required by the Growth Management <br /> Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council the approval of <br /> various amendments to the text and policies of the Everett Comprehensive Plan, as well as <br /> amendments to the Land Use Map and the rezoning of specific properties to implement the <br /> Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council held a Public Hearing on June 27, 2001 to consider the <br /> recommendations of the Planning Commission concerning various amendments to the text and <br /> policies of the Everett Comprehensive Plan, as well as amendments to the Land Use Map and the <br /> rezoning of specific properties to implement the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending the Comprehensive Plan land <br /> use designation of the area affected by this rezone action; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act requires that the City's Zoning Map be consistent <br /> with and implement the Land Use Map of the Comprehensive Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City Council finds that the rezoning of the specific properties described herein: <br /> 1. Is consistent with the Land Use Map of the Everett Comprehensive Plan; <br /> 2. Bears a substantial relation to the public health, safety and welfare; and <br /> 3. Promotes the best long-term interests of the Everett community. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: The properties located west of Paine Filed way and south of Holly Drive as depicted <br /> as "Site" on the attached Exhibit"A," and as set forth on the City of Everett Zoning Map as <br /> adopted by Section 2.020 of Ordinance No. 1671-89 and amended by Section 62 of Ordinance <br /> No. 2037-95 and which is legally described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at the intersection of the centerline of Holly Drive and the <br /> centerline of Paine Field Way; THENCE, Southeasterly along said centerline of Paine <br /> Field Way to intersect the Northeasterly projected Southeasterly line of Lot 14, Paine <br /> Field Addition No. 2, according to the plat thereof recorded in Volume 12 of Plats, page <br /> 92, records of Snohomish County; THENCE, Southwesterly along said Northeasterly <br /> projected Southeasterly line, and the Southeasterly line of said Lot 14 to the Southwest <br />
