April 29, 2026 <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />GRANT ACCEPTANCE – 2023-2025 STATE CAPITAL BUDGET APPROPRIATION <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Tuohy, seconded by Council Member Weir, to authorize the Mayor <br />to sign all necessary documents accepting the Washington State Department of Commerce <br />2023-2025 State Capital Budget Appropriation and grant award acceptance for the new Everett <br />Outdoor Event Center project in the amount of $7,400,000. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Vice President Rhyne requested the Stadium Fiscal Advisory Committee is reconvened to review <br />funding information and provide recommendations to Council prior to final budget approvals. <br /> <br /> <br />APPROVAL – SOUND TRANSIT SPINE TO EVERETT LETTER <br /> <br />Moved by Council Member Weir, seconded by Council Member Tuohy, to approve the “Build <br />the Spine to Everett” comment letter to Sound Transit. <br /> <br /> <br />Roll was called with all council members voting yes. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />Vice President Rhyne advised the letter will be presented to the Sound Transit Executive <br />Committee on May 7th and requested the public attend this meeting as well. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The City Council meeting adjourned at 2:42 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
