IP lb I <br /> T <br /> • w <br /> Copy of ORDINANCE NO. 1491. <br /> An Ordinance appropriating and setting apart certain property <br /> owned by the City of Everett and used for park purposes, and being a <br /> part of Forest Park, formerly known as South Park, and being situate <br /> in the City of Everett and in the northwest quarter of Section 31, <br /> Township 29 North of Range 5 East, W. T . , and being more particularly <br /> described in this ordinance as a public street and highway, for the <br /> purpose of opening up, establishing and extending of Mukilteo Boule- <br /> vard through said tract, and declaring an emergency. <br /> WHEREAS, Mukilteo Boulevard is to be opened up and established <br /> from Federal Street to the terminus of Mukilteo Highway; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is desirable that said boulevard be opened up and <br /> established through Forest Park, formerly known as South Park, for the <br /> purpose of giving access to said park; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Park Board of the City of Everett has, by resolution <br /> adopted on the 6th day of January, 1913, duly and regularly recommended <br /> to the City Council that said land be set aside and appropriated out of <br /> said park for the purpose of opening up and establishing and extending <br /> said Mukilteo Boulevard as herein set forth; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that said boulevard be <br /> opened up and extended through said park; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the following described land, to-wit: "From <br /> the Standard Monument at the center line intersection of 42nd Street <br /> and Federal Street in Swalwell's 3rd Addition to Everett, run south <br /> 143.44 feet along the center line of Federal Street; thence north 79 <br /> degrees, 16 minutes west 185.24 feet to the east boundary of the north- <br /> west quarter (NW4) of Block 9, in Swalwell's 3rd Addition to Everett, <br /> being a point on the east boundary of the City Park and the true point <br /> of beginning; a strip of land thirty (30) feet wide on each side of <br /> the center line running north 79 degrees 16 minutes west 141.65 feet <br /> to the point of curve of a curve to the right having a radius of eighty <br />
