CALI <br /> ORDINANCE NO. <br /> An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1229 of the city of <br /> Everett, entitled "An ordinance approving and adopting certain <br /> rules and regulations prescribed by the city of Everett for the of `£ - , <br /> construction or alteration of the plumbing of any building in said '*' <br /> city, and providing a penalty for th , violation of said rules and <br /> regulations", by adding thereto a section to be designated as <br /> Section 52, and declaring an emergency. <br /> TKr) CITY OF .uVERATT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Ordinance No. 1229 of the city of Everett, <br /> entitled "An ordinance approving and adopting certain rules and <br /> regulations prescribed by the city of Everett for the construction <br /> or alteration of the plumbing of any building in said city, and <br /> providing a penalty for the violation of said rules and regulations" <br /> be, and the same is hereby amended, by adding thereto a section, <br /> to be designated as Section 52. Said section shall read as follows: <br /> Section 52: The drainage system of the bars of all <br /> saloons and soda fountains shall be constructed and maintained ac- <br /> cording to the following regulations: All bars must be connected to <br /> sewer and when connected must be provided with six inch drum traps <br /> and said traps to have a water seal not less than four inches.There <br /> must be one drum trap installed for every three openings not to <br /> exceed (2")-two inches in size, when three openings are branched <br /> together,before connecting to trap. Size of pipe to first opening <br /> from trap must be (2") two inch pipe. Size of second opening must <br /> not be smaller than (1-12" ) one and one-half inch pipe, and to <br /> third opening must not be smaller than ti-1/4" ) one and one-fourth <br /> inch pipe. When two openings are connected to trap (1-1/2") pipe <br /> may be used.
