• V i ORDINANCE NO. 02<� An ordinance providing for the improvement of Oakes Avenue from the north line of Twenty-second Street to he south line of Sixteenth Street, ry removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade , removal of trees, construction of concrete curb, gutter, cement walks , cross walks , complete drainage system, raking, rolling and seeding of parking strips , making old work conform with new, and doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, all in accordance with resolution :To. 1794 of the city of Everett, creating a local improvement district therefor, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, and providing that payment for said improvement be made by special assessment upon the property in said district by the mode of 'payment by bonds ' . TIE CITY OF i VER IT T DOES S ORDAIN: Section 1: That Oakes Avenue from the north line of Twenty-second street to the south line of Sixteenth Street be improv« ed by removal of old lumber, grading to proper grade, removal of trees , construction of concrete curb, gutter, cement walks, cross walks , complete drainage system, rolling , raking and seeding of parking strips , making old work conform with new, and doing such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, such improve- ment to be made according to the plans and specifications therefor prepared under the direction of the city engineer and on file in the office of the city engineer. Section 2: That the cost and expense of such improvement, including all necessary and incidental expenses , shall be borne by and use ;sled against the property included in the assessment district hereafter created in accordance with law. The city of Everett shall not be liable in any manner for any portion of the cost and expense of such improvement.
