ORDINANCE NO. .4 o <br /> An ordinance amending Section 8 of Ordinance I"io. 1307 of the <br /> city of Everett, entitled "An ordinance regulating travel and traffic <br /> on the streets of the city of Everett, providing penalties for the <br /> violation thereof, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinanc- <br /> es in conflict therewith" , and declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF J VEF.ETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Section 8 of Ordinance No. 1307 of the city of <br /> Everett, entitled "An ordinance regulating travel and traffic on <br /> the streets of the city of Everett, providing penalties for the <br /> violation thereof, and repealing all ordinance or parts of ordinances <br /> in conflict therewith" , be, and the same is hereby amended to read <br /> as f Qllows: <br /> Section 8: Vehicles crossing from one side of the street <br /> to the other shall do so by turning to the left so as to head in <br /> the same direction as the traffic on the side of the street toward <br /> which the crossing is made, except upon streets where the grade <br /> exceeds five per cent; provided, that motorcycles or automobiles <br /> shall cross from one side of the street to the other only at street <br /> intersections. <br /> Section 2: WHEREAS , the above amendment is necessary for the <br /> proper protection of persons traveling on the streets of the city of <br /> iverettt"-- n emergency is declared to exist, and this ordinance shall <br /> 4 a.1 `• <br /> v.t <br /> take Orre'ct upon its passage and publication. <br /> P:47 Mayor. <br /> • <br /> Attest <br /> y Clerk. - <br /> Published: � (1\, <br />
