• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. l _CA <br /> — <br /> An ordinance relating to the making of local improvements <br /> to be paid for in Whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by <br /> assessments upon the lots or parcels of land benefited by such <br /> improvement, providing for the establishment of local improvement - <br /> districts for the purpose of paying therefor, prescribing the mode <br /> in which the charge upon the respective lots and parcels of land <br /> shall be assessed, and repealing all ordinances and parts of <br /> ordinances in conflict herewith, ant.. declaring an emergency. <br /> THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: METHOD OF PROCEDURE: Whenever the city council <br /> f. @ <br /> shall provide for making local improvements, and for paying the <br /> whole or any portion of the cost and expense thereof, by levying <br /> N <br /> and collecting special assessments on property specially benefited, `` <br /> the proceedings therefor shall be in accordance with the provisions ''` <br /> of Chapter 98 of the Session Laws of the state of Washington for <br /> 1911, the charter of Everett, and the provisions of this ordinance <br /> and acts amendatory thereto. <br /> Sec. 2: THE MODES OF PAYMENT: There shall be two modes of <br /> vAr <br /> making payment for such portion of the cost and expense of any <br /> improvement provided for in this ordinance as shall be payable by <br /> • <br /> special assessments, to-wit: ' Immediate payment' and 'Payment by <br /> bonds ' .
