SECTION 3: EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM STANDARDS <br /> School facility and student capacity needs are dictated by the types and amount of space required <br /> to accommodate the School Board adopted educational programs. The educational program <br /> standards, which typically drive facility space needs, include grade configuration, optimum facility <br /> size, class size, educational program offerings, classroom utilization and scheduling requirements, <br /> and use of relocateable classroom facilities (portables). <br /> In addition, government mandates and community expectations may affect how classroom space is <br /> used.
