Support Facilities
In addition to schools, the Everett School District owns and operates additional facilities
which provide operational support functions to the schools. An inventory of these
facilities is provided in Table 3.
Land
The Everett School District owns the following undeveloped sites:
• 18.9 acres at the southeast corner of Seattle Hill Road and State Route 527.
• 36th&Norton; 3.25 acres, currently used as neighborhood playground.
• Approximately eight acres adjacent to Jefferson Elementary School. Too small for middle
or high school site, no sanitary sewer service.
• 16.4 acres south of Silver Firs development. Approximately 23 acres of this 61.4 acre site
are used for Gateway Middle School; and approximately 22 acres are unsuitable for
building or are required as a green belt around perimeter of site.
• Northwest corner of 35th Street & Grand Avenue; 1.5 acres. Size and terrain make it
unsuitable for school. Presently leased on a long-term basis to the City of Everett for a
neighborhood pocket park.
• 41st & Broadway, approximately four acres contiguous to Memorial Stadium. Much of
the site is very steep, with poor vehicular access to public streets.
Everett School District Section 4- 2 Capital Facilities Plan
