CHAPLAIN RESERVOIR INFLOW DIVERTER
Description: Construct piping or channels to divert flow entering Lake Chaplain
at Portal #4. This diverter will force all incoming flow to the north end of the lake.
Location: Lake Chaplain
Justification: Lake Chaplain acts as the first step in the treatment process at the
Water Filter Plant. The longer the water can stay in Lake Chaplain before
entering the Water Filter Plant the cleaner the water becomes. Solids suspended
in the incoming water are allowed to settle to the bottom of the lake producing a
cleaner raw water source entering the plant. Significant increases in detention
time can be accomplished by directing inflow to the extreme north boundary of
the lake.
Amounts in$1,000
7 ` .e ey I MA 77,1 1 s fn'N ';7,7
Land& -d-way ------ $0
Design&Ergine&ng ---- $100- $100
ca., „ , $1,000 $1,000
Other $0
$0
Tdal $0 $0 $0 $0 $100 $1,000 $1,100
- -_ m n; 1 E°•^n wro+•t n+ t iv^F^ymra +r parr b ,. i 7 ' M ..
+w a ,,, li lnrm ( tial N+ , la nns chi, i 7 c r !• i et e I u. 7.
General $0
Mtigatiat Fees $0
Assessments $0
Gants
Rates ---- $100 $1,000 $1,100
Other $0
ao
Total $0 $0 $0 $0 $100 $1,000 $1,100
C:hTEMP 1CAP-FAC2001.doc(YJ 3119101) /
_ _ ... ,.,.
