ORDINANCE NO. An ordinance providing for the improvement of the alley between Colby and Wetmore Avenues , between Hewitt Avenue and California Street, and being in Block 667 of the plat of Everett, grading to prover grade, removal of old lumber, paving, and the moving and replacing of pavement, by the construction of a sewer with all necessary appurtenances for the draining of the district, and doing all such other work as may be necessary in connection therewith, creating a local improvement district therefor, creating a local improvement district fund therefor, and providing that pay- rt nt for said improvement be made by special assessment upon prop- erty in said district by the mode of 'payment by bonds ' . WHEREAS, the petition of property-owners pertitioning for the above improvement has heretofore been filed with the board of public works,atd "the said board has found the things set forth in said petition to be true, and WHEREAS, said board of public works has filed with the city council all data and information in regard to said improvement, as is required by law, and WHEREAS , the said board of public works has recommended to the city council that said improvement petitioned for be made, and it appearing to the council that public convenience requires that said improvement be made, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN; Section l; That the alley between Colby and Wetmore Avenues i;etween Hewitt Avenue and California Street, and being in Block 667 of the plat of Everett;-be improved by grading to proper grade, removal of old lumber, paving, and the moving and replacing of pave- ment, by the construction of a sewer with all necessary appurtenances for the draining of the district, and doing all such other work as nay be necessary in connection therewith, such improvement to be made according to the plans and specifications prepared under the direction of the city engineer,and now on file in the office of the commissioner of public works.
