• ter / ORDINANCE NO. /4 j An Ordinance authorizing and directing the City Council of the City of Everett to secure the necessary data and information con- cerning the available water supplies for said city, and authorizing said council to determine the most desirable water supply and to -prepare plans for acquiring such supply, and to prepare plans for constructing a water system for said city, and to submit said plan to the voters of said city, and authorizing said council to make the proper and necessary appropriation for securing said data and in- formation: TiE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Everett be, and it is hereby authorized and directed to secure as soon as pos- sible all necessary data and information concerning the available 'permanent water supplies for the city of Everett for the purpose of determining the most. desirable permanent water supply for said city, and it is hereby authorized to make the proper and necessary appropriations to pay the cost of !ecuring this data and information. Section 2 . The foregoing ordinance was submitted to the qualified electors of the City of Everett at an election held June 18th, 1912 , being designated upon the ballot as Proposition No. 2 ; and was adopted by a majority vote at said election. The canvass of the election returns , had under Resolution No. 1743 shows :
