City of Everett Point Industrial Center (EPIC) Bridge Project – Phase 2 Full Design <br />Page 11 of 43 <br />Stormwater Vault Design Recommendations:HWA will provide design <br />recommendations for proposed stormwater detention vaults. <br />HWA QA/QC: HWA will have all design calculations and recommendations reviewed by <br />a senior principal prior to distribution to the design team or the AGENCY. <br />Prepare Revised Draft Geotechnical Engineering Report:HWA will prepare a revised <br />draft geotechnical engineering report for the Project. This report will contain the results <br />of the geotechnical engineering investigation, including a description of surface and <br />subsurface conditions; environmental findings and recommendations for the locations <br />sampled; a site plan showing exploration locations and other pertinent features; a <br />summary of boring and CPT logs; and laboratory test results. The report will provide <br />geotechnical recommendations for each of the above-described proposed improvements. <br />Review Project Plans: HWA will review the Project plans and provide geotechnical <br />comments related to the incorporation of the geotechnical recommendations for various <br />aspects of the Project. <br />Prepare Final Geotechnical Engineering Report:HWA will prepare a final <br />geotechnical engineering report for the Project. This report will contain the results of the <br />geotechnical engineering investigation, including a description of surface and subsurface <br />conditions; a site plan showing exploration locations and other pertinent features; a <br />summary of boring and CPT logs; and laboratory test results. The report will provide <br />geotechnical recommendations for each of the above-described proposed improvements. <br />Geotechnical Specification Development: HWA will work with the design team to <br />assist in the development of geotechnical related specification sections. <br />Geoenvironmental Specification Development: HWA will work with the design team to <br />assist in the development of geoenvironmental related specification sections. <br />Assumptions: <br />All additional geotechnical explorations conducted as part of this scope will consist of <br />CPT tests. <br />Traffic control, consisting of flaggers, will be required for two (2) of the CPT testing <br />workdays and the day of environmental sampling. <br />Exploration locations will be surveyed by others. <br />Stormwater management will be limited to detention and no infiltration testing will be <br />completed. <br />No hazardous materials memorandum will be included as part of HWA’s scope of work. <br />No additional groundwater monitoring will be completed. <br />Rights of entry to the lumber yard will be provided by the AGENCY. <br />All meetings will be virtual and one (1) hour in duration each. <br />The design team will provide HWA with anticipated traffic counts for us in development <br />of the pavement design for the two (2) bridge approaches.
