moneys in the fund in interest bearing securities of said City. <br /> Section 5. That immediately after August 10th, 1912 , the <br /> Commissioner of Public Works of said City, in accordance with the plans <br /> to be prepared by the City Engineer and approved by the Council of <br /> said. City, shall construct or cause to be constructed, an extension <br /> not exceeding 200 feet in length, of the present wharf on said prop- <br /> erty together with all necessary appurtenances , equipment and build- <br /> ings. <br /> Section 6. Thst no notice shall be given nor purchase of <br /> improvements made nor new construction work on the City dock property <br /> be undertaken nor any special bonds be issued as provided in the f ore- <br /> going sections of this ordinance until this ordinance has been rat- <br /> ified by a majority of the qualified voters of said City voting at an <br /> election duly called, and the City of Everett hereby submits this <br /> ordinance to the qualified voters of said City at a municipal election <br /> to be held on Tuesday, June 18th, 1912 , in said City for ratification <br /> or rejection and notice of said election shall be given and said elec- <br /> tion shall be held in accordance with the laws governing such elections <br /> at such voting places in the precincts of the City of Everett and by <br /> such judges and inspectors of election as may be desiknated by the <br /> City Council for conducting a municipal election on said date,, and <br /> no special notice or other proceedings shall be required in relation <br /> to said election other than the notices' and proceedure prescribed by <br /> the charter of the City of Everett and the laws of the State of Wash- <br /> ington. If for any reason a municipal election is not held on June <br /> 1Sth, 1912 , the City Council of said City shall by resolution or <br /> ordinance fix some other date for such an election at which time this <br /> ordinance shall be submitted to popular vote of the qualified elec- <br /> tors and in case the ordinance is ratified by a majority vote of those <br /> voting, then the officials of the City shall perform the duties re- <br /> quired of them herein as soon thereafter as possible without regard <br />
