Scope of Work <br />US 2 Trestle Interim Improvements 11 April 2026 <br />Deliverables <br />Deliverables for this subtask include: <br /> Preliminary Draft (City review), Draft (WSDOT review), and Final NEPA DCE <br /> Preliminary Draft (City review), Draft (WSDOT review), and Final APE memo <br /> Preliminary Draft (City review), Draft 1 (WSDOT review), Draft 2 (FHWA review), and Final <br />Biological Assessment <br />Task 04 – Preliminary Engineering <br />Subtask 04-01 – Roadway Design and Preliminary Cost Estimates <br />The Consultant will prepare the following: <br /> Assemble a base map using the existing WSDOT as-built and ground-based Lidar data. <br />Limited field survey is included to establish control points, critical tie-in points and existing <br />drainage structures. <br /> Channelization plans for approval per the WSDOT Northwest Region checklist, including <br />AutoTURN plots and typical roadway sections. <br /> Roadway profiles for areas with grade and/or superelevation changes <br /> Wall plan/profiles (locations only, no structural design this phase) <br /> Roadway design quantities <br /> Design documentation including: <br />Basis of Design per WSDOT guidelines to define the project’s design controls, <br />alternatives, and design elements <br />Design analyses for up to six (6) roadway elements that do not meet WSDOT design <br />guidelines for the two interim improvements. <br /> Preliminary existing utilities plans based on WSDOT as-builts, mapping from the US 2 corridor <br />study, and record drawings to be requested from public utilities. <br /> Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) conceptual plans and memorandum describing the preferred <br />approach and phasing for implementation of the project. <br /> Preliminary construction cost estimate based on work completed in this scope of work. The <br />Consultant will make cost assumptions for project elements that are anticipated but not <br />quantified at this time. <br />Assumptions <br />Assumptions for this task include: <br /> The interim improvements are assumed to work within existing pavement and structure <br />limits to the extent possible and minimize grade changes, new pavement areas, <br />modifications to existing structures, or the need for new structures. <br /> WSDOT will provide existing pavement cores, including shoulders, and will provide pavement <br />depth recommendations
