ORDINANCE NO. 2534-01 An Ordinance amending the SEPA Ordinance to be consistent with the provisions of the City's Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance, superseding and amending Ordinance No. 1348-87 as amended (EMC 20.04) WHEREAS, the City adopted interim permit review processes for land use permits through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2136-96; and WHEREAS, through the adoption of the City's Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance, the City has incorporated the interim regulations into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance which is intended to be a master procedural ordinance for land use applications within the City; and WHEREAS, consistent with the intent of the master procedural ordinance, the procedural aspects from the City's SEPA regulations (EMC 20.04) have been incorporated into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of this ordinance to make the necessary revisions to the City's SEPA regulations so that those provisions that have been incorporated into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance are removed from the City's SEPA regulations; NOW, THEREFORE,THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1: That section 1B of Ordinance No. 1348-87 (EMC 20.04.020) which reads as follows: 20.04.020 Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to establish a clearly understood and effective set of policies and procedures for implementing the State Environmental Policy Act as set forth in RCW 43.21C, through the adoption of City environmental policies, and rules and procedures designed to take into consideration the environmental impact of actions taken by the City. The City adopts the ordinance codified in this chapter under the State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), RCW 43.21C.120, and the SEPA Rules, WAC 197- 11-904. BE AND THE SAME IS HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS: 20.04.020 Purpose.
