ORDINANCE NO. 2537-01 An Ordinance amending the Shoreline Ordinance to be consistent with the provisions of the City's Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance, superseding Ordinance No. 723-80 as amended (EMC 20.12) WHEREAS, the City adopted interim permit review processes for land use permits through the adoption of Ordinance No. 2136-96; and WHEREAS, through the adoption of the City's Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance, the City has incorporated the interim regulations into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance which is intended to be a master procedural ordinance for land use applications within the City; and WHEREAS, consistent with the intent of the master procedural ordinance, the procedural aspects from the City's shoreline regulations (EMC 20.12) have been incorporated into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of this ordinance to make the necessary revisions to the City's shoreline regulations so that those provisions that have been incorporated into the Local Project Review Procedures Ordinance are removed from the City's shoreline regulations; NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 723-80 as amended by Ordinance No. 1122-85 (EMC 20.12) which reads as follows: 20.12.010 Title. The ordinance codified in this chapter shall be known as the "Shoreline Permit Procedures Ordinance," and may be cited as such. 20.12.020 Purpose. The purpose of this chapter is to establish an orderly, efficient and clearly understood set of rules and procedures for the review and processing of substantial development, conditional use and variance permit applications under the provisions of the Shoreline Management Act of 1971 (RCW 90.58.140(3)) and the city's Shoreline Master Program.
