,IIIIP? <br /> 0111101,"ma <br /> Aroke. .2 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2548-01 <br /> An Ordinance Amending the Transportation Element of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan Related to State-Owned Facilities and <br /> Transportation Facilities of Statewide Significance, amending <br /> Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2012-94. <br /> WHEREAS, House Bill 1487, adopted by the State Legislature in 1998,requires that <br /> cities and counties add a sub-element to their comprehensive plans related to State owned <br /> transportation facilities, and transportation facilities of statewide significance; and <br /> WHEREAS, at this time the City proposes to address the minimum requirements of <br /> House Bill 1487; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City anticipates a more thorough review and amendment of the <br /> Transportation Element in conjunction with potential revisions to the Land Use Element <br /> as required by the "Buildable Lands" amendments to the Growth Management Act; AND <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed amendments to the <br /> Transportation Element and has recommended City Council approval thereof. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby ordains: <br /> Section 1: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2021-94, the Transportation Element of the <br /> Comprehensive Plan, is hereby amended by the addition of text regarding State-owned <br /> facilities, and facilities of Statewide significance, a copy of which is attached hereto as <br /> "Exhibit A,"and incorporated herein by reference as part of the annual amendments to <br /> the Comprehensive Plan initiated in 2000. <br /> Section 2: Severability. Should any section, subsection,paragraph, sentence, clause or <br /> phrase set forth in this ordinance or its application to any person or situation be declared <br /> unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the <br /> remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to any other person or situation. <br /> The City Council of the City of Everett hereby declares that it would have adopted this <br /> ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof <br />
