,IIIIP? 0111101,"ma Aroke. .2 ORDINANCE NO. 2548-01 An Ordinance Amending the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan Related to State-Owned Facilities and Transportation Facilities of Statewide Significance, amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2012-94. WHEREAS, House Bill 1487, adopted by the State Legislature in 1998,requires that cities and counties add a sub-element to their comprehensive plans related to State owned transportation facilities, and transportation facilities of statewide significance; and WHEREAS, at this time the City proposes to address the minimum requirements of House Bill 1487; and WHEREAS, the City anticipates a more thorough review and amendment of the Transportation Element in conjunction with potential revisions to the Land Use Element as required by the "Buildable Lands" amendments to the Growth Management Act; AND WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed amendments to the Transportation Element and has recommended City Council approval thereof. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby ordains: Section 1: Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2021-94, the Transportation Element of the Comprehensive Plan, is hereby amended by the addition of text regarding State-owned facilities, and facilities of Statewide significance, a copy of which is attached hereto as "Exhibit A,"and incorporated herein by reference as part of the annual amendments to the Comprehensive Plan initiated in 2000. Section 2: Severability. Should any section, subsection,paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase set forth in this ordinance or its application to any person or situation be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance or its application to any other person or situation. The City Council of the City of Everett hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion thereof
