June 29, 2016 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., June 29, 2016, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Murphy presiding. Upon roll <br /> call, it was found that Mayor Stephanson and Council Members Roberts, <br /> Moore, Murphy, Franklin, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Council <br /> Member Bader was excused. <br /> Council Member Franklin led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the June 22, 2016, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. Council Members Roberts and Murphy abstained from the vote. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson had no report. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Roberts announced that the Sound Transit 3 (ST3) ballot <br /> measure will be sent for consideration by the voters in November. He also <br /> spoke about the Association of Washington Cities Annual Conference held <br /> last week at Xfinity Arena, Everett. Council Member Roberts reported on <br /> his attendance at The Fixing America's Surface Transportation (FAST) Act <br /> Advisory Group meeting held in Olympia earlier today. <br /> Council Member Moore provided a liaison report on his attendance at the <br /> Economic Alliance of Snohomish County breakfast this morning, where <br /> Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers gave his first State of the <br /> County address. <br /> Council Member Franklin announced that the Carl Gipson Senior Center <br /> of Everett is closed for renovation. Updated information about Senior <br /> Center activities and classes can be found on the City's website. She <br /> congratulated Hil Kaman on his new role of Director of Public Health and <br /> Safety. Council Member Franklin also announced that the Public Safety <br /> Innovations Community Forum will be held on July 19, 2016, from 6:30 <br /> p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at the Snohomish County PUD auditorium and that <br /> 210 <br />
