Improvements consist of a new separate stormwater collection network with stormwater <br /> detention ponds on Legion Memorial Golf Course. These improvements will effectively eliminate street <br /> flooding and sewer backups in the project area. <br /> Amendment No. 1 is for fmal design services and construction support for the initial phase of stormwater <br /> detention facilities on the golf course. The scope includes design services of a golf course architect. The <br /> separate storm water collection network and street restoration(phase 1)in the vicinity of Wetmore between 9th <br /> Street and 5th Street will be designed by city staff. This project also includes coordination with Everett <br /> Community College to implement a solution to the flooding problems at Rainier Hall. Construction cost of the <br /> detention facilities and golf course restoration is approximately$1.2 million. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to Professional Services Agreement with Murray, Smith& <br /> Associates,Inc. to provide design and construction support services for the Legion Golf Course Stonnwater <br /> Detention Project in an amount not to exceed$395,766. <br /> 3 <br />
