ORDINANCE NO. 2595-02 <br /> An Ordinance Amending the Land Use Map of <br /> the Everett Comprehensive Plan for The <br /> Everett Fire Department's Fire Station NO 5, <br /> located at the south east corner of the intersection of <br /> Madison Street at Colby Avenue, from 1.3 <br /> (Single Family, 10 to 12 Dwelling per Gross <br /> Acre) and 1.6 (Multiple Family, 29 to 30 <br /> Dwelling per Gross Acre) to 2.8 (Public/ <br /> Quasi Public Facilities <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett adopted a new Comprehensive Plan in August, 1994, in <br /> conformance with the Washington State Growth Management Act; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act, codified as RCW Chapter 36.70A, generally <br /> allows for comprehensive plans to be amended on an annual basis; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett initiated its 6th annual Comprehensive Plan amendment <br /> process in July, 2001, which included consideration of Comprehensive Plan map <br /> designation amendments and rezone applications; and <br /> WHEREAS,The Everett Planning Commission initiated an amendment to the <br /> Comprehensive Plan map designation for Everett Fire Station Number 5, a property <br /> containing approximately 1.5 acres at the south east corner of Madison Street at Colby <br /> Avenue, from 1.3 (Single Family, 10 to 12 Dwelling per Gross Acre) and 1.6 (Multiple <br /> Family, 29 to 30 Dwelling per Gross Acre) to 2.8 (Public/Quasi Public Facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, an environmental analysis of the proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment <br /> has been conducted by the City in compliance with the requirements of the State <br /> Environmental Policy Act (SEPA); and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Everett has encouraged public participation in the consideration <br /> of amendments to the Comprehensive Plan, as required by the Growth Management Act, <br /> through a variety of notification procedures, including SEPA review, mailing to interested <br /> citizens and organizations, mailing to affected property owners, legal publications, and <br /> posting of the affected property; and <br />
