ORDINANCE NO. 2611-02 AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2451-00 entitled "South Precinct Police Station Construction", Fund 342, Program 001, authorizing the design and construction of a new police precinct. WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need for a south precinct police station and, WHEREAS, the City of Everett has purchased a building located at 1121 SE Everett Mall Way to accommodate a south precinct police station; WHEREAS, Ordinance NO. 2451-00 was established to fund the construction of the South Precinct Police Station. WHEREAS, additional funding is necessary to complete the construction of the South Precinct Police Station. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction project is hereby established as Fund 342, Program 001 entitled "South Precinct Police Station Construction" to accumulate the design and construction costs required to construct a south precinct police station. Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Facilities/Property Management Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3: Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2451-00 which reads as follows: The estimated cost of the project is $3,800,000 including costs related to design, construction, equipment, and contract administration. Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: The estimated cost of the project is $4,250,000 including costs related to design, construction, equipment, and contract administration.
