i
November 7, 2014
Everett Police Department \ ;'a
Code Enforcement Unity's -
Attn: Mr.J. Driscoll
3002 Wetmore Avenue pb
Everett,Washington 98201
RE: HEARING OF CASE#CE 14-0010
Dear Mr. Driscoll:
For my own peace of mind and in order to put this behind me, I am forced to finally write this letter regarding above
mentioned hearing.
I was accused of so many violations and did nothing to defend myself. I was following the advice of my Real Estate agent
to not say anything.According to her, such hearings are just to find out what needs to be done to satisfy the County and
not about who did what. I know better now.
The enclosed exhibits#11&#12 shown at the hearing are the photographs of the house the way it supposedly looked
when I bought it.
I hereby enclose a copy of the MLS Listing,as the house was advertised in 2012 when I bought it(possession January,
2013).This listing clearly states the house to be a 1 bedroom and not the 3 bedroom I was accused of having changed. It
also stated the house to having been newly re-roofed and showing no porches.
Exhibits#11 &#12 show previous owners going no further than into 1991.Since then there have been several other
owners such as Blakeley Investment, Dan Purser,Jeremy Harris.
The only changes made by me other than the massive cleaning, hauling, painting, are:
1. Jerry Wells"Contractor—installed energy efficient windows.
2. 2.Woodford Electric—replaced an inefficient, unsafe heating system and corrected some other various dubious -
electrical work. Other less important electrical work was in the planning but stalled due to the Violation
Inspection 'Report.
3. South County Plumbing—installed new sink, dishwasher.
4. No changes made concerning the bathroom.
5. Home Depot—replaced kitchen cabinets.
All in all, I have weathered the enormous expense to get every in order to satisfy the County and am happy having been
able to hold onto this house. It is now safe and sound and an asset to the neighborhood.
I want to thank you for your understanding at that hearing and giving me a manageable penalty fee. I was new to these
circumstances and was unprepared. I only lately realized how much worse it could have been.
Sincerely,
// N. r-
Catharina E.Teunisse
C:Tony Lee
