111111116, comm ytransit <br /> October 14, 2014 <br /> City of Everett <br /> Permit Services <br /> 3200 Cedar Street <br /> Everett,WA 98201 <br /> Subject: Application for Mechanical Permit- Cover Letter <br /> Community Transit Kasch Park Casino Road Complex <br /> Casino Road Building HVAC Upgrades <br /> Dear Sir or Madam: <br /> We are pleased to provide this application for mechanical permit associated with Community <br /> Transit's Kasch Park Casino Road Building Heating,Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) <br /> Upgrades project. This cover letter is intended to provide a general project overview. Included as <br /> part of this permit submittal package are two sets of contract drawings, including architectural, <br /> structural, mechanical and electrical plans; permit application; and cost estimate for permit fee <br /> calculation form. <br /> PROJECT OVERVIEW <br /> The Community Transit Kasch Park Casino Road Building in Everett,Washington is in need of <br /> HVAC upgrades to address items including freeze protection for select systems in the northern <br /> shelled/unoccupied space of the first and second floors, replacing exhaust air fans for four <br /> restrooms and providing conditioned air to two office areas on the western face of the first <br /> floor within the building. Two rooftop energy recovery ventilators (ERVs) will be added to <br /> provide the required freeze protection to the northern shelled/unoccupied spaces,four <br /> replacement exhaust fans will be incorporated to update the exhaust air for the restrooms and <br /> two new split mechanical systems will be added to provide conditioned air to the two first <br /> floor office spaces. <br /> Mechanical systems for this project will be designed in accordance with applicable codes and <br /> standards, such as the Washington State Energy Code, and include heating and ventilation. <br /> Controls and/or monitoring for the mechanical systems will be provided to interface with the <br /> existing building Direct Digital Control (DDC) system. Structural modifications have been <br /> designed to the applicable codes and standards,where necessary,to support the added weight <br /> and seismic loads from mechanical units,with seismic anchorage of the mechanical units and <br /> 7100 Hardeson Rd.
