We understand Innovative Foundation Solutions,Inc.,was engaged to underpin, <br /> stabilize and lift the portion of the house foundation that has settled. A total of eight <br /> underpinning piers are to be installed. Six of the piers are installed and the remaining two piers <br /> are to be installed to the north of the existing piers. The purpose of this report is to evaluate the <br /> soil conditions and provideengineering analyses and recommendations for the foundation <br /> underpinning: - <br /> Our scope of work included a review the area geologic map, a;site reconnaissance,evaluation of <br /> the house and foundation,evaluation of the soils with a hand auger boring and probing with a <br /> 1/2-inch steel rod, engineering analysis and preparation of this report. <br /> SITE CONDITION <br /> Surface"Conditions <br /> The lot, Parcel No. 00442200000100, is located in a residential neighborhood at the northeast <br /> comer of the intersection of Dogwood Drive and 52"a Street, as illustrated on the Vicinity Map, <br /> Plate 1. The lot is 0.24 acres in size,rectangular in shape and generally flat and level. The home <br /> is a one-story wood-framed rambler with an attached garage,built in1962. ,The home has a crawl <br /> space and a footprint of approximately 2,318 sf, including the garage.
