FAX (509) 665-76922
This letter summarizes the results of our geotechnical engineering evaluation and stabilization
recommendations for the existing timber retaining wall and top of slope area located below your
residence at 1617 Edgemoor Lane in Evertt, Washington, as shown on the Vicinity Map in Figure 1. Our
services were completed in general accordance with our proposal signed by you on October 14, 2014.
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this study is to explore and characterize the surface and subsurface conditions within the
vicinity of the existing timber retaining wall and the top of the steep slope, in order to provide our
opinions with respect to the existing stability within this area and provide recommendations for
improving the stability conditions of the this area. We were informed that some indications of settlement
have been observed within the top of slope area throughout the years, and we understand that you wish to
replace the existing wall along the. top of slope with an engineered retaining wall, likely consisting of
driven cantilevered pin piles to improve the stability conditions within the vicinity of the yard area. You
have requested our opinions and recommendations for design and installation of the wall. We also
understand that you wish to place a garden shed near the top of the slope as well.
