Please review and respond to the comments
below.
This is the fourth corrections letter for the scope of this project, with the same corrections listed. Plan review
will resume when the requested information is submitted. Since the detailed drawings are not keyed to the
cover sheet, please submit two complete new collated sets of printed plans that are two replacement stapled
sets of drawings for this permit application.
Please review and respond to the comments below. All required submittals must be of sufficient detail and
information to ensure that the proposed structures will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes,
with two sets of drawings submitted for revisions.
General
1. The cover sheet of the drawings either indicates new or existing footings, but the detailed plans are
not keyed to the cover sheet. Please key plans to the cover sheet. This may require resubmittal of all
drawings for clarity.
2. The detailed plans do not reflect the structural corrections listed below, specifically in regards to the
clearance bar, weights and existing construction. Please consider having the engineer, Mr. Clifford
Leverenz, review the drawing package to prepare it to comply with the corrections listed.
Structural
1. Previous comment.- Please provide the weight of all new signs or sign structures submitted for permit.
2. Previous comment. For new free-standing signs, please provide stamped engineering calculations by a
Washington State Licensed engineer that all signs under the scope of this permit have attachments and
footings shown on the drawings which are sized sufficiently and designed to support the specific weight
of the sign to resist forces from wind, gravity and seismic loading, per IBC 1603.1.
a. New or existing footings will still require attachments shown on the drawings.
b. Please note that although the footing for the clearance bar is identified as existing, it is shown
as new. Engineering is required for the clearance bar.
