ORDINANCE NO. 2653-02 AN ORDINANCE amending Ordinance No. 2469-00 entitled "Downtown Police Headquarters Remodel", Fund 342, Program 002, authorizing the design and construction of alterations to the Police Headquarters. WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need to remodel the Police Headquarters Building, located at 3002 Wetmore. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2469-00 was established to fund the construction of the Downtown Police Headquarters Remodel. WHEREAS, additional funding is necessary to complete the construction of the Downtown Police Headquarters Remodel. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A special construction project is hereby established as Fund 342, Program 002, entitled "Downtown Police Headquarters Remodel" to accumulate the design and construction costs required to construct alterations to the Police Headquarters. Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Facilities/Property Management Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3: Section 3 Of Ordinance 2469-00 which reads as follows: The estimated cost of the project is $400,000 including costs related to design, construction, equipment, and contract administration. Be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: The estimated cost of the project is $673,000 including costs related to design, construction, equipment, and contract administration.
