He has indicated that a permit can be issued for the fire repair to
the rear porch structure. On the application it is required that the description of the use of the building is listed as
"Single Family Residence". The reason for this is that there were no permits or inspections to convert the SFR into a
duplex.
We do not have records of a permit for the stairs to the roof of the porch. If the stairs are to remain, a permit is
required for the stairs, the porch roof(capable of supporting a floor load ) and the guardrails around the roof deck, any
deficiencies of the existing stairs will need to be addressed under this permit.
Construction drawings and a site plan are required. Construction drawings shall clearly define the scope of the work and
show how it meets the requirements of the International Residential Code (IRC) 2009 edition. Please see the City of
Everett Residential Submittal Checklist at the link below for scale and drawing sizes.
http://www.everettwa.org/Get PDF.aspx?pdflD=635
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Jeff Heilman
Development Technician
City of Everett
Engineering/ Public Services Division
3200 Cedar Street, Everett WA 98201
Phone 425-257-8976
Fax 425-257-8857
From: Eric Gagon [mailto:EricGCcbfenixrestoration.com]
Sent: Tuesday, May 07, 2013 9:40 AM
To: Engineering / Public Services
Subject: 1231 Lombard Ave, Everett, WA, 98201
1 have been into the office and talked to somebody about the address 1231 Lombard Ave, Everett, 98201. Apparently
there are some major code violations with the property that would have to be fixed in order to obtain a permit to do the
fire repair work. Could we possibly set up a walk through with an inspector to see what would need to be done in order
to move forward?
Thanks,
i
