� <br />�8��� �D��S <br />Subject: Obstruction of Streets and Sidewalks <br />Dear Property Owner, <br />The Public Works Deparhnent encourages right-of-way improvements throughout the city <br />that both benefit the adjoining property owners and the public. Trees, shrubs, and other <br />types of vegetation that overhang the street or sidewalk along your property need to be <br />maintained, trimmed, and managed to allow hee and full use of the sidewalk or street by <br />the general public. <br />The Public Works Department policy which offers to property <br />owners the opportunity to trim the vegetation to the "line of sight and obstruction <br />standards" listed below. <br />Vertical Clearance: 16.5 feet minimum over street <br />7 feet minimum over sidewalk area <br />The vertical clearance standards over the street are 16.5 feet abov� the street areas <br />measured from the gutter line at the curb. The vertical clearance standards over the <br />sidewalk are 7 feet above any part of a sidewalk or pedestrian path area. �-- <br />Thank you for your assistance.
