The purpose of the examination was to determine the
hazard rating of the subject tree and suggest remedial action if appropriate.
The tree was examined on November 26 2005 by Tom Hanson.
Tree detail is attached on the "Tree hazard Evaluation Form".
The subject tree is 50 or more years in age with a single trunk. It is an over- mature tree with
decay pockets at the base of the tree as well as in large scaffold limbs. An increment boring
taken at 1-foot above ground found sound wood 6-inches thick but with the core af the tree
decayed.
The tree appears vigorous although no leaves were on the tree at the time of inspection. A
companion ash was removed recently that had extensive bole decay as seen in the stump.
The tree is not a hazard because it is not large enough to strike buildings or utilities, and
would only cause minor damage if it struck a parked car. It is my opinion that the tree can be
retained, however a spring time inspection might reveal vigor problems not now apparent.
There is no warranty suggested for any of the tres subject to this report. Weather, latent
tree conditions, and future man-caused activities cou/d cause physio/ogic changes and
deteriorating tre condition. Over time, deteorating tree condifions may appear and there
may be conditions, which a not now visib/e which, cou/d cause tree failurs. This port or
the verbal comments made at the site in no way warrarrt the structural stability or /ong terrn
condition of any tree, but rpresenf my opinion based on the observations made.
Nearly all trees in any condition standing within rach of improvements or human use areas
rprsent hazards that cou/d lead to damage orinjury.
Please call if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,

 / l`'LZl2j
T omas .
