The purpose of the examination was to determine the
hazard rating of the subject tree and suggest remedial at:tiion if appropriate.
The tree was examined on July 7, 2005 by Tom Hanson.
Tree detail is attached on the `Tree hazard Evaluation Form".
The subject tree is 80 or more years in age with a single trunk It is ar over- mature tree with
a thinning crown, poorly a#tached scaffold limbs, bole cracks and seams. I suspect the tree
has extensive bole decay. It is clearly in decline.
The soil around the tree is mounded and tthe sidewalk is heaved.
This is an over mature tree that has reached its life span. The sidewalk problem is causing
signficant hazard condition. Removal of roots for sidewaik repair will cceleratQ declirie.
It is my recommendation that this tree be removed.
There is no warrnty suggested for any of he trees subject to this report. Weather, laterrt
te coritions, and future man-qused acfiv'ties cou/d cause physio/ogic changes and
deteriorating tiee condition. Over time, deteriorating tree conditions may appear and the►
may be ondrfions; which are not now visib/e which, could cause t►e failure. 'his report or
the vral comments mde at the site in no way warrant the structura/ stability or long terrh
cohdition of any tree, 6ut rpresent my cpinion based on the observations ma+dE.
Nea1y all trs in any condition standing within ach of impvements or human use areas
represent hazards thaf cou/d /ead to damage dr injury.
Please call if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
l ].s y • --`-
  b CJ 3
Cr
TMamas M.
