The purpose of the examination
was to determine the hazard rating of the subject trees and suggest remedial action if
appropriate.
The trees were examined on August 5, 2004 by Tom Hanson.
Tree detail is attached on the "Tree hazard Evaluation Forms".
The subject trees are about 30 years in age with single trunks. Both trees have several
crooks suggesting occaisional breaks in this exposed location. The easterly tree is pistol
butted and appears to be tipping. The westerly tree is heavily wrapped in ivy.
It is my opinion that both trees should be removed to protect slope stability
There is no warranty suggested for any of the trees subject to this report. Weather, latent
tree conditions, and future man -caused activities could cause physiologic changes and
deteriorating tree condition. Over time, deteriorating tree conditions may appear and there
may be conditions, which are not now visible which, could cause tree failure. This report or
the verbal comments made at the site in no way warrant the structural stability or long term
condition of any tree, but represent my opinion based on the observations made.
Nearly all trees in any condition standing within reach of improvements or human use areas
represent hazards that could lead to damage or injury.
Please call if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,
Thomas M. Hanson ISA
Certified Arbodst
(425) 822-5915 • Fax (425) 822-5975 • www.inforestry.com
