Show how the porch conversion meets the requirements of the WA State Energy Code <br />(WSEC) for walls (R-21 required), floors (R-30 required), ceiling (R-49 required), door <br />(U-20 required), and windows (U-0.30 required). <br />7. Provide smoke alarms per section R314 IRC. Show location on plans. <br />8. Provide carbon monoxide alarm per R315 IRC. Show location on plans. <br />9. The 8x16 blocks shown on section A are'�on grade" and therefore do not provide <br />sufficient frost protection for the proposed foundation. Footings shall rest on <br />undisturbed soil not less than 18" below the finished grade. <br />10. Provide separate foundation plan showing the extent of the foundation being placed. <br />Show how well foundation is secured to the existing structure. <br />11. Provide sections and/or details, drawn to scale, to clarify construction aw needed. (See <br />#1 above.) <br />12. Verify at least one door provides a minimum clear width of 32 inches when measured <br />between the face of the doo and the stop, with the door open 90 degrees. <br />13. Wood siding shall be not less than 6" above the finished grade. Provide elevation views <br />showing minimum clearances. <br />14. Specify square footage of existing house and square footage of porch conversion. <br />15. Show how the dwelling is provided with heating facilities capable of maintaining a <br />minimum room temperature of 68 degrees at a point 3 feet above the floor and 2 feet <br />from exterior walls in all habitable rooms at the design temperature. <br />16.
