Ted Budden
To: Donald Cunningham
Subject: RE: RE:
Good morning Don,
I received a call from Ms. Nguyen this morning she wanted some help with her concerns with her property. I tried to
have her communicate to me her concerns and the nature of the work she is having the contractor conduct. Due to
language barriers I couldn't fully understand her.
I asked Ms. Nguyen to have her contractor call me to discuss the work so any applicable permits and associated
approvals would be obtained if and as necessary.
From: Donald Cunningham
Sent: Monday, March 07, 2016 8:03 AM
To: Ted Budden
Subject: FW: RE:
Ted
Can you evaluate these photos and the tenant's description of work, let me know if Ms. Nguyen is making reasonable
steps that should lead to compliance and if any of the new work is unpermitted.
Thanks!
D
From: Jon [mailto:jonathanhuseby(agmail.com]
Sent: Saturday, March 05, 2016 5:10 PM
To: Donald Cunningham
Subject: RE: RE:
Update:
03/04/16—A dump truck load of gravel and sand was delivered to my parking area.
03/05/16—The landlord, Mr. Long, and several of his workers are here today.
They backfilled the basement with sand and gravel through the basement window.
The landlord and Mr. Long stated today that they will not replace the water-damaged ceiling and walls despite my
concerns. They did cut a section from the laundry room ceiling. It appears that the ceiling is made of plywood and there
is no insulation of any kind. They are using this to claim that they do not need to do any repairs because there is no wet
insulation. They have now placed a board over the section they have cut out and appear to be ready to cover everything
up with new paint.
Mr. Long stated that he will have an electrician out to fix the heating system. Date unspecified.
Mr. Long also inspected the low voltage wiring that was cited. My girlfriend and I both witnessed arcing and a minor
electrical fire when he inspected it.The wiring is still in the wall, but is now behind a cover plate.
Mr. Long fixed a leaking kitchen faucet and claims to have fixed the leaking faucet bit on the back of the house. The
kitchen faucet is satisfactorily fixed, but the outdoor faucet is pouring water out. In the fully closed position, it leaks
greater than 1/2 gallon in 4 minutes.
1
