The City of Everett <br /> requested the expansion of its Urban Growth Boundary to include all City-owned property on Smith Island. <br /> This request was approved by Snohomish County. The annexation is for municipal purposes as a result of <br /> evolving needs of the Waste Water Treatment Facility and its related activities. <br /> A City Council briefing was held on July 22, 2015. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Adopt An Ordinance Annexing Property Located East of the Existing City Limits, South of 12th St NE and <br /> West of Union Slough, Known as the Smith Island Municipal Annexation. <br /> 3 <br />
