I <br /> POLICE HQ—MASONRY CLEANING AND REPAIR APRIL 15,2016 <br /> SECTION 01 3113—PROJECT COORDINATION <br /> PART 1 -GENERAL <br /> A. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to coordinate all work to be performed <br /> under this contract. The Contractor shall supervise and direct the work and determine the <br /> means,methods, techniques, sequences and procedures of construction,except in those <br /> instances where the Owner,to define the quality of an item of work, specifies in the <br /> Contract,a means,method,technique,sequence or procedure for construction of that <br /> item of work. <br /> B. The Contractor shall notify the Owner in writing of the name of the person who will act <br /> as the Contractor's representative and shall have the authority to act in matter relating to <br /> this Contract. This person shall have the authority to carry out the Provisions of the <br /> Contract and to supply materials,equipment,tools and labor without delay for the <br /> 111 performance of the work. <br /> C. The Contractor agrees to permit entry to the site of the work by the Owner,its employees <br /> or other contractors performing work on behalf of the Owner. The contractor shall afford <br /> to the Owner,other contractors and their employees,reasonable facilities and cooperation <br /> and shall arrange its work and dispose of its materials in such a manner as to not interfere <br /> with the activities of the Owner or of other upon the site of work. The Contractor shall <br /> promptly make good on any Contractor-caused injury or damage to persons or property <br /> that may be sustained by other contractors or employees of the Owner. The Contractor <br /> shall coordinate its work with that of others and perform its work in proper sequence in <br /> relation to that of others. <br /> D. If requested by the Contractor,the Owner will arrange meetings with other contractors <br /> 1 performing work on behalf of the Owner to plan coordination of construction activities. <br /> The Contractor shall inform itself of the planned activities of other contractors and shall <br /> coordinate its work with the other contractors. <br /> E. Contractor shall notify the Owner of problems,interference or any difficulty with other <br /> contractors or workers engaged by the Owner. The Notice shall be sufficiently prompt <br /> and specific so as to allow the Owner to mitigate or avoid increased costs,time of <br /> performance, damages or injury. Contractor's failure to provide such Notice in a timely <br /> way shall be deemed a waiver and release of any and all Contract Claims relating to, <br /> arising out of,or caused by,any alleged interference, difficulty or problem with another <br /> contractor or worker engaged by the Owner. <br /> F. The Contractor shall keep the Owner advised of the progress of all work. <br /> rG. The Contractor shall be responsible for the adequacy, efficiency and sufficiency of <br /> subcontractors,manufacturers, suppliers and their employees. <br /> H. Contractor shall be responsible for the adequacy,efficiency and sufficiency of its <br /> employees. Workers shall have sufficient knowledge, skill and experience to perform <br /> properly the work assigned to them. <br /> I. Coordination between adjacent business that utilize the adjoining alley and easement <br /> shall be thru the owner. Every effort shall be made to reduce the impact of this project to <br /> rPROJECT COORDINATION 01 3113 - 1 <br /> I <br />
