r ORDINANCE NO. 2686-03 AN ORDINANCE creating the construction fund entitled "Police Evidence Facility Construction", Fund 342, Program 006, authorizing the design and construction of a facility to process and store Police evidence. WHEREAS, the City Council has recognized the need for a facility to process and store Police evidence to be located at 2719 Pacific Avenue. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: A construction fund is hereby established as Fund 342, Program 006 entitled "Police Evidence Facility Construction" to accumulate the design and construction costs required to construct a facility to process and store Police evidence. Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Facilities/Property Management Director under the administration of the Mayor, to assume full responsibility for conducting all tasks and performing all necessary steps to accomplish the actions authorized by this Ordinance. Section 3: The estimated cost of the project is $1,100,000.00 including costs related to design, construction, equipment, and contract administration. Section 4: The sum of $1,100,000.00 is hereby appropriated to Fund 342, Program 006 "Police Evidence Facility Construction". A. Use of Funds Design $120,000.00 Construction $800,000.00 Project Costs $180,000.00 Total $1,100,000.00 B. Source of Funds Fund 162 (CIP IV) $1,100,000.00 C. The appropriation shall not lapse, but shall be carried forward from year to year until fully expended or the purpose has been accomplished or abandoned without the necessity of re-appropriation.
