Please review and respond to the comments <br />below. All required submittals must be of sufficient detail and information to ensure that the proposed <br />structure will be constructed in compliance with all adopted codes. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to provide the <br />Building Division with two complete new sets of construction documents reflecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />Structural <br />1. Please include structural elevations showing the number and location of all sign attachments, and <br />details indicating the methods of attachment of each sign or letter at each location on the building. <br />2. The sign attachments should be shown on the drawings to be sized sufFiciently and designed to resist <br />forces from wind (for exterior signs), gravity and seismic loading, per IBC 1603.1. The section details <br />and notes for sign attachments should identify type, overall number, and depth of the attachments into <br />the specific wall construction that will be supporting the sign. <br />These comments address building issues only. Revisions or additions may be required by other departments <br />(Utilities, Public Works, or Planning). Code references cited include the 2012 International Building Code <br />(IBC), 2009 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2012 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), and the ICC/ANSI <br />A117.1-2003 Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities. All codes referenced, as adopted by the City of <br />Everett, should include current revisions by the State of Washington. Note that federal laws may be more <br />restrictive.
