Additional revisions or additions may be <br />required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br />(2012 International Building Code,) (2012 International Residential Code,) as amended by the <br />State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the <br />City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br />corrections requested, along with a reduced set of plans no larger than 11" x 17". <br />1. Construction documents shall define the scope of the work to be done and clearly show <br />in detail that it will conform to the provisions of the International Residential Code (IRC). <br />2. Decks shall be designed for both vertical and lateral loads. R507.1 IRC ( See figures <br />R507.2.3 & R507.2.3 (2)) show locations and specify connectors proposed to resist <br />lateral loads. <br />3. Ledger attachments shall be per table R507.2 IRC. Lag screws, bolts and washers shall <br />be hot- dipped galvanized or stainless- steel. <br />4. Provide stair section and details. Show all stair components and attachments including <br />stringers, handrail, guardrail, rise, run, and landings. <br />5. Specify all footings to rest on undisturbed soil not less than 18" below the finished <br />grade.
