In order to return the bottom chord to its <br /> full capacity it will be spliced with a new 2x8 LSL joist(1.3E or greater)or a 13/"x5%"LVL(2.OE or greater),per the <br /> attached detail.The new member will be spliced to the existing bottom chord of the truss with(36)W-diameter by <br /> 3"SDS lags on each side of the splice location.
