Additional revisions or additions may be <br />required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br />(2012 International Building Code,) (2012 International Residential Code,) as amended by the <br />State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the <br />City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br />In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br />provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br />corrections requested. <br />1. Provide detail of One-hour Fire-resistant construction for the wall between dwelling units <br />in the space converted from storage to living space. Protection is required from both <br />sides. <br />2. Exterior walls are required to be insulated to minimum R-21, a 2x4 wall with a 2x2 <br />added to the edge does not provide sufficient depth for R-21 insulation without <br />compressing the insulation. Provide assembly with a minimum thickness of 5-1/2 <br />inches. <br />3. Show required energy credits (0.5 required) from table 406.2 Washington State Energy <br />Code (WSEC). Option chosen and the specific requirements for that option shall be <br />shown on the plans. <br />4. Provide attic ventilation calculations. Show required ventilation on plans. <br />5. Provide minimum 22" x 30" attic access.
