This tenant space used to be used for car <br />stereo and window tinting, and now it will be used for engine repair. <br />The new walls may trigger a sprinkler permit revision and possible automatic detection revision. You can <br />contact AFM Jim Venturo next week to discuss and schedule a site visit. His number is 425-257-8124. <br />Your attached letter identifies how the services will be limited in the auto repair shop so that mechanical ventilation will <br />not be triggered. <br />• The vehicle can only be operated to move it in or out of the service bay, but the engine cannot be operated as <br />part of the motor vehicle repair. <br />Carbon monoxide will be caused by operating the vehicle within the building, which requires direct exhaust <br />from the vehicle and mechanical ventilation, per IMC section 502.14 and IBC section 406.8.2. Your letter is <br />sufficient so I can now process the building permit application. <br />The permit drawings have additional comments added to the drawings you submitted.
