Although the sprinkler contractor may not under contract to install the work, three copies of the revisions requested below are required to obtain a sprinkler permit. 1. A double-check detector valve assembly (DCDA) is required for the fire service supply line to this tenantspace. a. The owner was notified that new suppression work would trigger compliance with this L7 c ,� e. f. 9 h requirement, per attached correspondence from 2012. The fire service for the tenant space should be shown on the drawings from the tenant space to the cross connection serving the space. A Public Works permit application will be required to install a double check assembly. The revised sprinkler submittal should include three copies of the following: i. A catalog cut indicating the DCDA manufacturer's model in the �Backflow Prevention Assemblies Approved for Installation in Washington State', published by the Washington State Department of Health, current edition. ii. A plan and section of the intended location and installation of the DCDA. The DCDA can be located in an interior or an exterior location, to comply with City of Everett Standard Construction Drawings 515 or 523, attached. iii. The model number of the DCDA should be shown on the drawings. The riser room should be identified on the plans. A post indicator valve (PIV) is required if there is not direct access to the riser room from outside of the building.
