SCOPE: <br />THESE PLANS AND ANY ASSOCIATED CALCULATIONS HAVE <br />BEEN PREPARED TO GUIDE THE REPLACEMENT OF THE <br />SPECIFIC ROOF—MOUNTED EQUIPMENT NOTED IN THESE <br />PLANS AND CALCULATIONS. <br />GEN ERA� NOTES <br />STRUCTURES SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED T0, LOOSE OR <br />INCOMPLETE CONNECTIONS, REMOVED OR DISCONNECTED <br />BRACING, OR OTHER, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BRING TO <br />THE ATTENTION OF THE ENGINEER ANY OBSERVED <br />COMPROMISES IN THE STRUCTURE. THE CONTRACTOR <br />SHALL PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHS AND A WRITTEN <br />DESCRUPTION AND LOCATION OF WHAT WAS OBSERVED. <br />THESE PLANS, AND ANY INFORMATION CONTAINED HEREIN, <br />ARE NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE. EXISTING OBSTRUCTIONS: <br />LIMITATIONS OF THESE PLANS: <br />IN SOME CASES, CERTAIN DIMENSIONS HAVE BEEN <br />DETERMINED FROM AVAILABLE IMAGERY AND NOT BY <br />REFERENCE TO EARLIER BUILDING DOCUMENTS. THESE DOCUMENTS <br />SHALL NOT BE TAKEN AS A COMPLETE OR <br />COMPREHENSIVE REPRESENTATION OF SPECIFIC EXISTI <br />CONDITIONS. <br />EXISTING DAMAGE: <br />IN <br />EXISTING CONDITIONS SUCH AS CEILING OBSTRUCTIONS, <br />FIXTURE OBSTRUCTIONS, FIRE SPRINKLER OBSTRUCTIONS, <br />AND OTHER SUCH ITEMS THAT MAY IMPEDE THE <br />CONTRACTOR'S SCOPE MAY AND LIKELY DO EXIST. THE <br />CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM A SITE VISIT PRIOR TO <br />PREPARING THE PRICE AND SCHEDULE FOR THE WORK IN <br />THESE DOCUMENTS. IT IS GENERALLY VERY DIFFICULT TO <br />ADJUST THE SCHEDULE ONCE WORK HAS COMMENCED. <br />THEREFORE, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FULLY APPRAISE <br />HIMSELF OF THE EXISTING CONDITIONS BY HIS OWN <br />RESEARCH, INDEPENDENT OF THESE PLANS. <br />DAILY REPORTING <br />THIS DAILY REPQRTING SECTION APPLIES TO THE <br />CONTRACTORS PERFORMING STRUCTURAL WORK BELOW THE <br />ROOF DECK. THIS SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO THE <br />HVAC INSTALLATION CONTRACTOR. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE A DAILY WRITTEN <br />REPORT TO THE ENGINEER OF WORK ACCOMPLISHED. FOR <br />NIGHT SHIF7S, THE REPORT SHALL BE PROVIDED BEFORE <br />10:00 AM LOCAL TIME THE MORNING FOLLOWING THE <br />SHIFT. <br />THE DAILY REPORT CONSISTS OF: <br />NG 1. THE STORE MANAGER'S SIGN—OFF SHEET <br />CERTIFYING THAT THE WORKPLACE WAS LEFT IN <br />EXCELLENT ORDER PRIOR TO THE ARRIVAL OF <br />THE BUSINESS' FIRST CUSTOMER. <br />EXISTING DAMAGE TO THE STRUCTURE IS UNKNOWN TO <br />THE ENGINEER. IF ANY DAMAGE SUCH AS, BUT NOT <br />LIMITED T0, BROKEN WOOD MEMBERS, BROKEN WELDS, <br />TORN SHEETMEAL, RUSTED STEEL, OR ROTTED WOOD IS <br />OBSERVED BY THE CONTRACTOR, THE CONTRACTOR <br />SHALL BRING TO THE ATfENTION OF THE ENGINEER ANY <br />OBSERVED DAMAGE IN THE STRUCTURE. THE CONTRACTOR <br />SHALL PROVIDE PHOTOGRAPHS AND A WRITTEN <br />DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION OF WHAT WAS OBSERVED. <br />2. SHEETS FROM THIS SET OF PLANS, MARKED UP <br />TO SHOW WHAT DETAILS WERE COMPLETED <br />DURING THE PRECEDING SHI�f. <br />3. PHOTOGRAPHS OF DETAILS COMPLETED DURING <br />THE PRECEDING SHIFT. <br />WELDING: <br />WELDS SHALL BE PERFORMED BY AWS—CERTIFIED <br />WELDER. CURRENT CERTIFICATION SHALL BE <br />PROVIDED TO THE ENGINEER. <br />NO CROSSCUT WELDS SHALL BE PERFORMED AT <br />ANY TIME, NO UNDERCUTTING OF ANY SIZE IS <br />PERMITTED PERPENDICULAR TO THE LONG AXIS OF <br />ANY STEEL MEMBER. <br />NEW STEEL MAY BE SPLICED WITH A <br />FULL—PRENETRATION WELD AT THE CONTRACTOR'S <br />OPTION. <br />AN EXCELLENT AND CLEAR PHOTOGRAPH OF EACH <br />PERFORMED WELD SHALL BE PROVIDED AS A PART <br />OF THE DAILY REPORT. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL <br />LABEL EACH ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPH WITH A DETAIL <br />NUMBER FROM THESE PLANS, SO THE ENGINEER <br />CAN EASILY IDENTIFY THE PRECISE LOCATION OF <br />THE WELD. <br />HOUSEKEEPING: <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL LEAVE THE WORK AREA <br />EVERY MORNING IN AN EXCELLENT AND CLEAN <br />CONDITION, SO THAT CUSTONERS WILL NOT KNOW <br />THAT ANY WORK IS BEING PERFORMED. <br />THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RESTORE FIXTURES, <br />GONDOLAS, AND CEILINGS TO THE CONDITION IN <br />WHICH THEY WERE FOUND PRIOR TO THE <br />COMMENCEMENT OF ANY WORK. <br />WORKMANSHIP THAT IS EXPOSED TO THE <br />CUSTOMERS SIGHT, SUCH AS IN THE CASE OF <br />STORES WITH NO CEILINGS, SHALL BE PAINTED TO <br />MATCH THE EXISTING COLOR OF THE STRUCTURE. <br />Rev.
