PROBLEM <br /> The PRAXIS application does not contain all the necessary features required by the City of Everett to implement <br /> their business and occupation tax processes. The work for the missing features an be divided into two main <br /> categories:new development and code modification. <br /> OBJECTIVES <br /> ABILITY TO:SUPPORT THENEW SYSTEM <br /> Since Praxis is a major tax application for the city of Everett,the work on this project needs to involve City of <br /> Everett IT. The collaboration work gives the following benefits to the city of Everett IT: <br /> 1. A better understanding the Praxis system. <br /> 2. Able to provide a better support for Praxis system. <br /> 3. Able to scope the work for additional feature development. <br /> BUSINESS PROCESSES IMPROVEMENTS <br /> There are several business objectives in implementing Praxis for the City of Everett: <br /> 1. Use Praxis to handle the processing of business tax. <br /> 2. Use Praxis to replace the existing tax system. <br /> 3. Improve efficiency in handling and processing business taxes. <br /> 4. Eliminate business tax errors. <br /> 5. Use Praxis data to analyze business taxes <br /> PROPOSAL <br /> Daizy Logik proposes to address the needs outlined in the City of Everett's Scope of Work.The needs outlined fall <br /> into two broad categories: <br /> 1. New Development <br /> a. Implement a License Renewal Process <br /> b. Add new Regulatory Licenses <br /> c. Complete function for delinquent letters <br /> d, Complete function for other letters <br /> e. Microflex Discovery <br /> 2. Modify existing code <br /> a. Remove References to the Square Footage Tax <br /> b. Update Tax and Schedule Forms <br /> c. Change all Bellevue references to Everett <br /> d. Consult and possible update the Lockbox import process to US Bank <br /> e. Filing frequency process change <br /> f. Change Gross Receipts and Tax Liability Threshold <br /> g.
